Emanuel Declares NUCPS Day in Chicago

City of Chicago proclamationChicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has officially proclaimed October 23, 2011 as Northwestern University Center for Public Safety Day in Chicago to honor the Center’s 75th anniversary this year. First Deputy Chief of Staff Felecia Davis of the mayor’s office will present the proclamation on the 23rd at a formal anniversary celebration featuring Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy as keynote speaker. Center for Public Safety Executive Director David Bradford said, “Northwestern University Center for Public Safety is extremely pleased and honored by Mayor Emanuel’s proclamation and for the city’s recognition of our efforts and accomplishments over the past 75 years. We are thankful for the relationship with City of Chicago and for the opportunity to participate with its leadership in enhancing the public safety environment through education and training. We look forward to continuing to provide the best in public safety management education and traffic safety education to Chicago and the greater metropolitan area for the next 75 years.”
